Improve School Building Interiors

Projected Cost: $35.8 million

As school buildings age they need normal maintenance on interior and exterior structures to continue to provide a safe, warm and dry learning environment for all students.

The district looks to:

  • Replace and/or repair interior doors at 14 schools and four support facilities.
  • Replace and/or repair interior floors and ceilings at 36 schools.
  • Replace and/or repair interior walls, wall finishes and paint at 32 schools.
  • Replace and/or repair bathroom stalls at 9 schools.
  • Add staff accessible bathrooms at multiple schools.
  • Replace and/or repair cabinetry and lockers at 30 schools.
  • Replace and/or repair gym equipment, bleachers and select pool fixtures at nine schools and one support facility
  • Replace and/or repair fixtures and equipment in freezers and coolers at 17 schools
  • Upgrading kitchen hoods and fire suppression equipment at all schools.
  • Replace modular walls with permanent walls in classrooms at five schools.
